CITAZIONE
"Matt Sutherland" (the father) is now named "Tanner." So anywhere you see "Matt" here, replace it in your mind with "Tanner."
- Lionel tells Lana "I believe the element is still in your possession. And that belief is the only reason you're still alive." Yep, Evil Lionel is definitely back...

CITAZIONE
Teaser: Matt (19 yrs old) and Karen (18 yrs old) are speeding in a truck to get to the Smallville Medical Center. Karen is in severe labor pains screaming the baby is coming while Matt’s on a cell calling for emergency help. There’s a green glow from Karen’s stomach. Matt is terrified and runs off. The glow gets so large it causes an energy blast. Meanwhile, Clark and Lana are in her SUV. As they drive, Clark thanks her for the ride and Lana replies “Not like there’s anything pressing on my social calendar. Besides, what were you going to do? Run all the way home from the Talon?” Suddenly, there’s a Shockwave. Clark says it’s coming from Evan’s field. Clark and Lana go there and that’s where they’ll find Evan laying in the field.

- When Clark visits Matt at his Garage shop, we find out Matt met Karen at a party and the next day she was pregnant with a huge stomach. Clark says that Evan is sick and needs Matt’s help with a bone marrow transplant to live. Matt refuses to help.

- Evan will eventually visit his father Matt. Remember Evan’s only hope to stop the accelerated aging comes from his father.

- Clark and Chloe are trying to find out where Lana and Evan went. They look at a grip map. Clark knows where they went. Chloe turns back and he’s gone. She says “Go get ‘em speedy” with a knowing smile.

- In the 3rd Act, Lana will take Evan (15) to the windmill because that’s his wish. The age change is happening. He’s in agony as lights spark and the windmill shakes. Lana starts to fall but Clark is there to catch her!

- Then Clark cradles Evan in his arms. Evan says he’s glad that “it was you and Lana that found me.”

- We’ve intentionally left out details, so you’ll still be surprised. Sounds good so far!

CITAZIONE
The teaser to the episode features a young couple in a battered muscle car, racing to the medical center. They're still ten minutes away. They skid out into Evan's Field where the young woman is about to give birth but is radiating a green glow. The girl writhes in agony, the car shakes. The boy reaches in to help, but is forced back by the glow. The terrified boy/father runs off.
- While this is happening Lana is driving Clark home from the Talon. "Besides, what were you going to do? Run all the way home?" she asks. They're driving near Evan's Field when they feel the shockwave of the blast from Evan's birth. Clark and Lana end up finding this baby in the field.
- Evan (the baby, who ages at an accelerated pace as seen in the other spoilers) is the product of a hookup between Matt Sutherland and a girl at a party, in a story that Matt retells Clark. The next day, Karen (the girl) calls screaming about being pregnant, Matt goes over, and her stomach already looks as if she's pregnant and she's glowing. Kryptonite pregnancy?
- Matt didn't tell anyone, because he didn't think anyone would believe him. Karen didn't survive the birth.
- Evan needs a bone marrow transplant from his father to survive.
- Evan confronts his father in the garage where Matt works, and bad things happen, which means Evan's one hope for survival may now be gone.
- Good news - Chloe does still seem to be in on Clark's secret, so those of you worried "Blank" would take that away are in luck. After Clark and Chloe discuss the problem in the Torch, and Clark speeds off, she tells him "Go get 'em, Speedy."
- The episode's final battle takes place at the windmill - maybe it's the windmill from the end of "Nicodemus?"

CITAZIONE
This episode concerns a boy, Evan, who has accelerated aging. He was born yesterday but you’ll see Evan at age Seven and age Fifteen because he’s growing so rapidly.

Evan at Age Seven:
Lana and Evan (@ age 7) are at the Kent farm fence with Shelby while Clark is inside getting guidance from his Mom concerning how to help Evan. They boy is full of questions as he experiences everything for the first time. He asks if Clark and Martha are talking about him. Lana responds that they are, only because they care about him. Evan then says “The way you care about Clark?” This catches Lana off-guard especially since Clark meets up with them. Evan starts telling Clark they were talking about him when Lana cutely cuts him off. Evan says “Girls are weird.” Lana replies “We are not.” Clark says “Little bit” then grins at Lana which makes her blush.

Clark and Lana tell Evan that he will eventually experience wonderful things like sunsets, snowball fights, and a windmill “if you stand on top of it, it’s like you can see the whole world stretching out around you.” Evan wants to see the windmill.

Clark, Lana and Evan drive in a truck to visit Lex. At Luthorcorp, Evan is lying on an examination table when lab technicians inject him with a syringe. Finally, a scene together with the “Big 3” - Clark, Lana, and Lex. The three of them are watching Evan. Lex says he has his best people finding out what’s happening to Evan and they’ve made some discoveries.

Evan at Age Fifteen:
Evan (@ age 15) stares at the Wall of Weird and notices the people on the photographs have 2 outcomes: Deceased or Belle Reve. He asks Clark and Lana what will happen to him. Chloe says she tracked down Matt (Evan’s father).

Clark visits Evan’s father, Matt, telling him that his son needs his help. But Matt doesn’t want any of it and walks away.

Clark says to Mr. Kent that he can’t believe how anyone would turn away from his own son. Jonathan says “being a father, even for a day, is an enormous responsibility.”

Clark says “Sometimes finding out what your biological father is really like isn’t the best thing, Evan. Trust me.” Clark reluctantly tells Evan he found his father but he won’t help him. Evan is hurt and devastated and takes it out on Clark.

Lana enters her apartment at night and is startled to see Lionel. She tells him to get out when Lionel hands her a surveillance photo given to him by Genevieve. Lionel says “There are forces that would prefer to see you eliminated from the game, particularly after the events in China” and that Lana may have fooled Lex and Jason (who’s referred to as "mysteriously absent ex-paramour") but he’s “more versed in the art of deception”. Lionel thinks Lana still has the stone element in her possession.

Lex tells Clark he needs to seal Evan in a containment chamber. Clark says he can’t just let him die. Lex replies gently “I’m sorry. But if we don’t isolate Evan, a lot of innocent people are going to die with him.”

Evan visits Lana’s apartment and he’s crying from his argument with Clark. Lana says “Honey, no. We all get angry sometimes and do things we wish we could take back. Clark knows that.” Suddenly, lights flicker and spark and Evan’s in a lot of pain. It seems every time he ages, there’s a power surge or energy field. Lana says they’ll figure it out together. She tries calling Clark but gets static.

Clark asks Chloe if he’s seen Lana and Evan. Clark says he already went to Lana’s apartment and tried Lana’s cell phone but all he gets is static as well.

CITAZIONE
There's a young man named Evan that we meet at the ages of 7 and 15. Evan is actually only a day old, though he ages at a rapid rate. His mother died at child birth. So, we see him first at age 7, and then a little bit later at age 15. Which, in WB casting terms, would make the actor 25.
- An early scene of "Evan at 7" has him visiting the Kent Farm and playing with Shelby. Lana is there at the scene too, and when he asks about his parents, she tells him "Sure. Everyone has a mother and a father." Well, unless they were smooshed by a meteor, but that doesn't come up in the conversation. While Lana and Evan are talking, Clark and Martha are discussing the situation. Once Clark comes back, Evan tells him that "girls are weird." "We are not," Lana says, to which Clark returns "A little bit." Their banter seems a little flirtatious and angst-free. The exchange ends with Lana blushing. "You're both weird," Evan tells them after that happens.
- Lana and Clark take Evan to Luthorcorp to be looked at.
- The now-physically-15-years-old Evan looks at the Wall of Weird in the Torch office. He sees pictures of past meteor freaks, some of whom have "Deceased" or "Belle Reve" written in red marker over their photos. "All of these people," he says. "They either went crazy or they died. Is that what's going to happen to me?" he asks.
- With this Torch scene, Clark, Lana, and Chloe are all present for the scene.
- Clark meets with Evan's father, Matt, who says he "can't" help his son... "it's just too much." From Jonathan's tone in the next scene, it sounds like Matt is a young father himself.
- "Sometimes finding out what your biological father is really like isn't the best thing," Clark tells Evan, when Evan gets him to tell him where he can find his father.
- When Lana comes home to the Talon, there is someone waiting inside in the dark - Lionel. "You're a very strong-willed girl," he tells her. "In some circles that quality would be revered. In others, it's considered an annoyance." Lionel shows her a surveillance photo that Genevieve gave him. "There are forces that would prefer to see you eliminated from the game, particularly after the events in China. But not to worry. I'm going to protect you," Lionel tells her.
- When asked why, Lionel tells her "Your theatrics over the missing element retrieved from China may have fooled my son and your mysteriously absent ex-paramour Mr. Teague. Fortunately I'm considerably more versed in the art of deception." The magnificent you-know-what is BACK!
- That last line might also explain how Jensen Ackles is able to be shooting the Supernatural pilot. Jason is out of town.
- After Evan has another change, Lex tells Clark to find Evan and have him isolated in a containment chamber at LuthorCorp. "If we don't isolate Evan, a lot of innocent people are going to die with him."
- Before Clark finds Evan, Evan shows up at Lana's place. Lana tries to console him. "We all get angry sometimes and do things we wish we could take back. Clark knows that," she tells him.
- Whatever's going on with Evan is making him put out power surges.
- Lois and Jason are nowhere to be seen in this story thus far.
