CHLOE HELPS CLARK LEARN ABOUT HIS SUPERPOWERS AFTER HE LOSES HIS MEMORY - Kevin (guest star), a boy who can cause people to temporarily lose their memory, turns his powers on Clark (Tom Welling) and causes him to have total amnesia. Chloe discovers what has happened and must teach Clark about his superpowers while simultaneously trying to keep him from accidentally revealing them to others. On his trip down memory lane, Clark meets Lana (Kristin Kreuk), falls in love all over again and decides to share his secret with her. Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) takes advantage of the situation and convinces Clark to show him where the three stones are hidden. Jensen Ackles, John Glover, Annette O'Toole and John Schneider also star. Jeannot Szwarc directed the episode written by Brain Peterson & Kelly Souders.

CITAZIONE

The episode begins with Lois "slamming a dozen drinks a la the movie Cocktail" in her new job at the Talon. Chirpy Lois speeds through the stream of caffeine addicts, not noticing 20-year-old Kevin Grady sneaking in and grabbing a muffin and all the money from the Talon cash register.
- Lois stops him and tells him he must not be very bright if he's stealing from the Talon in plain view of 60 customers. Kevin lifts his hand and emits a green pulse of energy that makes everyone forget what just happened. Unfortunately for Kevin, however, he's dropped his Summerholt hospital bracelet.
- Clark may have chosen Central Kansas College as his school of choice for the next year. "Don't you think that's a little... safe?" Chloe asks him.
- Clark and Lana talk, we're not sure about what. "Can we at least talk about it? Perhaps tomorrow night?" Clark asks her. Chloe and Lois exit the Torch and see Clark and Lana having this intimate conversation. Chloe tries to shake off her own hurt. "Looks like the heart remembers more than the brain," Lois tells Chloe.
- Clark also makes a reference to his "megaspeed" in front of Chloe, so he definitely knows that she knows.

CITAZIONE

Clark and Lana still have a ‘moment” between them. As Chloe catches sight of the “intimate” moment, Lois wants to know how Clark got there. Chloe eyes Clark Smiling as Lana walks away. Chloe says the following, ”Must be some unexplainable magnetic pull, looks like the heart remembers more than the brain.”

There is a Jason/Lana Scene in which Jason is pleading with Lana not to give up on him. He’s telling Lana that they can start all over again.  Lana tells Jason that “This whole year I kept wishing we had a clean slate, but we don’t." Jason looks into her doubting eyes and brushes past her and heads out the door.

CITAZIONE

Teaser: Lois gets a job at the Talon and it’s her first day. She has 12 coffee cups lined up like shot glasses in a bar - pouring espresso, whipped cream, etc, and working like “the movie ‘C ocktail’”. In plain view of everyone, Kevin Grady goes to the register and takes out all the money. Lois is shocked and grabs his arm where a hospital bracelet comes off. She says “Not the brightest bulb in the drawer are you? There’ve got to be about fifty witnesses staring at you right now. Come on, hand it over. I’m way too busy for amateur thug night.” Kevin emits a green pulse of energy from his palm and suddenly everyone forgets the incident and goes back to what they were doing.

It seems Clark has decided that he’s going to be attending Central Kansas College.

Clark and Lana share a moment. It says ‘Clark’s honest emotion almost knocks the wind out of Lana.’ Clark says “Can we at least talk about it? Maybe tomorrow night?” They both want a fresh start and Lana agrees to meet with Clark.

Lois and Chloe tell Clark that Kevin’s hospital bracelet is from Sommerholt Institute. They then go to Kevin’s address. Clark asks Lois why she’s going and she replies that she needs to get the $800 Kevin stole before Martha finds out.

At Kevin’s house, he’s packing clothes and money to run away. He looks at a photo of him and his brother Dillon. Lawrence Grady (Kevin’s father) says that Kevin needs to go back to Sommerholt for treatment. Kevin blames himself for Dillon’s death. Kevin then does the green energy forgetting business on his Dad and leaves.

Clark, Lois and Chloe visit Mr. Grady’s house where he explains that he took his sons on a hunting trip when Kevin played with a loaded rifle and accidentally shot Dillon.

Clark knows that Chloe knows about his powers. She says that the doctor is using meteor rocks and “You’re allergic to them. I think that’s why your mind got wiped so much more than anyone else’s.”

At the Torch, Mr. Grady points a gun at Chloe and tells her to erase the video that’s on her computer. The video is deleted and he says that now he needs to erase her memory of it. Chloe presses another button that records their whole conversation. In a later scene, Lois will hear the recorded message and goes to Summerholt to find her.

Clark finds Kevin in the woods and tells him he’s sorry about his brother. Clark explains the real story - Kevin wasn’t the one that shot his brother. It was really his dad. He erased the memories to make it seem like he pulled the trigger.

Earlier, Kevin did the mind-wipe on Clark in the Talon alley (for the robbery) and it affected Clark more severely. He’s still trying to get his memory back. Kevin feels guilty and says that he might be able to get Clark’s memory back at Sommerholt.

Chloe is at Sommerholt under laser machines where Mr. Grady says that he’s going to “wipe the slate clean” to ensure that she won’t expose the video.

Lois is at Sommerholt arguing with a receptionist when Sheriff Adams shows up. She then sneaks through a side door.

CITAZIONE

There is a young man named Kevin Grady who slips into a bedroom with walls covered with things like posters of NASA and Shaq. It's obviously his own room. He looks at a picture of himself with his younger brother, Dillon. His father, Lawrence Grady, comes in and finds him. He tells him Summerholt has been looking everywhere for him, and that what happened "that day" was not Kevin's fault, for whatever that means.
- Kevin says "What, and give me some other freak power as a side effect?" regarding the idea of returning to Summerholt. Could they be experimenting again?
- Lois, Chloe, and Clark end up at the Grady house about "the spontaneous line of credit" that Kevin has taken out at the Talon. They show Mr. Grady a Summerholt bracelet they found, and ask him why Kevin was there. Apparently the Gradys went on a hunting trip where Kevin was loading his rifle and shot his brother Dillon.
- Chloe says something to Clark about his allergy to meteor rocks, so we're thinking she'll have told him she knows the secret by now.
- Clark finds and confronts Kevin and asks him about his memories of that day. Clark makes a comment that maybe Summerholt has forced him to block out that day. Clark thinks that it wasn't Kevin who shot his brother... but someone else. Go Clark with your mad skillz detective work!
- Lois lays into a receptionist at Summerholt as Sheriff Adams looks on. "This guy's kid robbed me and then plucked the last forget-me-not pedal from my friend's brain," she says. "Now this psycho is holding my cousin back there somewhere." Guess this means Chloe's been taken into Summerholt... could someone be trying to wipe her memories "blank?" Seems possible.
- Chloe has a video on her computer, possibly of what really happened with Dillon. Mr. Grady, the perpetrator, wants her to erase it. But the video being gone is not enough. "Now we just need to erase your memory of it," Grady threatens.
